Full-Time AC Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time AC Technician to join our team at Discount AC & Refrigeration of Phoenix. In this role you will install, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems across Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair air conditioning, heat pump, and refrigeration systems on residential and light commercial calls.
• Install and replace split systems, package units, mini-splits, ductwork, thermostats, and related HVAC components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, and refrigerant recovery/charging in line with EPA 608 standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service on every call, clearly explaining recommended work, options, and pricing to homeowners.
• Document service calls, parts used, and warranty work in our service management software.
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle stocked with the correct tools and inventory.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards on rooftops, in attics, and in tight outdoor spaces.

Requirements

• 1-2 years minimum hands-on HVAC experience (residential and/or light commercial).
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record.
• EPA 608 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain quickly).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, rooftops, and outdoor heat year-round.
• Own basic hand and power tools; gauges, recovery machine, and specialty tools a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance, reliable attendance, and great communication.
